For this cabinet painting project, The Picky Painters refreshed a well-loved kitchen with a clean, bright finish that instantly modernizes the space. We selected a warm, creamy off-white (visible in the after image) that softens the room while reflecting natural light from the tall windows. How We Elevated the Cabinets
Our team began with a thorough prep: labeling hardware, cleaning away kitchen oils, and precision sanding to ensure proper adhesion. We addressed minor dings and seams for a uniform surface, then applied bonding primer followed by multiple fine coats of the creamy off-white color. Light sanding between coats leveled the profiles so doors and drawer fronts feel silky to the touch. Once cured, we reinstalled and aligned each piece so gaps are even and doors close smoothly. The island, uppers, and pantry sections all received the same attention to keep tone and sheen consistent throughout.
